SUPER SESSIONS:

Every Thursday evening for 8 weeks from 6:30pm -8:00pm

For Advanced level students Ages 14 to 18 Some exceptions can be made

This program is designed for advanced level students who are interested having professional instruction. Super Sessions are perfect for those looking to create a portfolio for University or College or those who are serious about art. These classes hope to broaden perspectives and to encourage abstract thought. Because of the small class size students can expect to get a lot of personal instruction. Everyone should be set up by no later than 6:15pm as class will begin promptly at 6:30pm.

Students can choose to focus on a specific area of fine art for the full 8 weeks or have the option to participate in the following 4 art disciplines:

Week 1&2: Drawing and Painting

Week 3&4: Sculpture

Week 5&6: Mixed media

Week 7&8: Print-making

• Typically, this class uses an exhaustive array of drawing media. The work is often dusty and will sometimes involve the use of solvents. We take all reasonable safety precautions, but this course may not be suitable for students with severe allergies, asthma or environmental sensitivities.

This program will provide students looking to enter College or University for fine arts with a minimum of 2 high quality portfolio pieces. At the end of the 8 week session each student will be given the opportunity to discuss their peices and recieve feed-back from our professional instructors. They will also be able to select a few pieces of art work which will be displayed on our gallery wall located in our shop space. Each class member will be able to invite friends and family to attend their art show opening night.

This rate includes a $50 material fee. Special items are required and may need to be purchased by request of the teacher and will be e-mailed to each student upon regestraion. There will also a $10 fee for classes where there is a model present(typically 2 classes per 8 week session).

Duration: 1.5 hours

Rates: $280 for 8 sessions including basic art supplies

Have you been longing for your own studio space? Do you want to work longer on that painting but have run out of class time? This new program offers three weekly hours of open studio time for you to pursue your own projects and interests. An experienced artist/instructor is on hand to provide technical advice, support and critical feedback through informal individual critiques. This course culminates in a group exhibition.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Rates: $250 for 12 sessions
